Thank you to everyone who visited our market stall in Churchill, Latrobe Valley on 3 May, hosted by Eku Energy’s Rachel Rundle (Senior Manager Policy & Regulation), Ayman Fathy (Project Development Manager) and Camilla Hamilton from Cogency, Tramway Road BESS' specialist Planning and Engagement partner. We are thrilled to have been able to speak to over 70 local residents and provide more details about Tramway Road BESS, having engaging conversations about what source of energy the BESS will store, how long it can generate for, how it can support the grid during disturbances as well as discussing any potential risks. As air quality in Latrobe Valley has been a major issue in the past, residents were pleased to hear that BESS projects do not emit any smoke or other pollutants. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Churchill Community as we develop our community benefits program and continue to develop the project.
