Georgette Banham

Dr Georgette Banham is Chief HR Officer at Eku Energy responsible for leading Eku's People & Culture globally. Georgette deviates from what could be considered as a “typical” HR profile, bringing over 25 years’ experience from within the engineering and process industries with a strong background in accounting, IT, industrial relations, leadership and management within complex domestic and international environments. Adept at managing multiple priorities and implementing effective solutions to empower the business, Georgette ensures a supportive and collaborative approach that activates a shared culture of curiosity and potential.

Prior to joining Eku Energy, Georgette had global responsibility as Human Resources Director for the Energy from Waste business unit of the HZI Group, she has been an active participant within the Engineering Construction Industry Association taking a seat at Council, and then Management Board before being appointed Vice President and subsequently President, representing over 300 UK employers and setting up best practice guides covering Industrial Relations, Engagement, Workforce Planning and Collaboration.

Being the first in her family to go to university she has a quest for knowledge and completed her practitioner Doctorate in Knowledge Management for Project Teams alongside working full time. She is a Chartered Fellow at the Chartered Institute for IT and Chartered Fellow at the Institute of Personnel and Development. In addition to her responsibilities for the People & Culture team, Georgette is a core member of the Eku Energy Executive Management Team and Mental Health First Aider and ally, promoting and fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone can feel seen, respected, valued and heard.
