Elias Saba

Elias Saba serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Eku Energy, and has global responsibility for technology, which encompasses batteries, digital asset management and trading platforms, as well as coverage of revenue contracting. Elias also leads the Technology, Markets and Trading (TMT) team in APAC, who are responsible for selecting and optimising energy storage technology, market policy and regulations, energy market participation, asset operations and trading. Additionally, TMT is responsible for the origination and formation of contracted and uncontracted revenue structures. 

In addition to establishing and managing the expansion of over 1GWh of storage assets that Eku Energy is currently delivering in Australia and abroad, Elias has overseen the development of significant large-scale battery energy storage system projects throughout his career, including Hornsdale Power Reserve, Gannawarra, and Lake Bonney, as well as the development of the Tesla South Australia VPP program.  

Elias holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) and a Master's in Energy Systems (Hons) from the University of Melbourne. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Energy.
