Belah BESS

The proposed BESS is in development with planning and environmental studies underway.

We are keen to receive feedback from local residents and the community about the project.

Project overview

The Belah Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is a proposed energy storage facility located at the intersection of Avenue Road and the Kogan-Condamine Highway, approximately 19 km south of Chinchilla and 22 km west of Kogan.

Project development is currently underway, including ecological surveys, consultation with Traditional Owners, and a range of technical and engineering assessments to determine the site's suitability. A Development Application was submitted in October 2025.

We co-develop Belah BESS together with Australian based and owned LP Renewables Projects (LPRP) with over 40 years' experience in wind power, solar and storage.
