Yesterday marked a significant milestone for Eku Energy with the inaugural Powering Partnerships Forum 2025, held at the iconic Australia House in London and hosted by the Australian High Commission.

The Forum was designed as a platform to bring together leaders, innovators, and decision-makers from across the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors. With the accelerating pace of the energy transition, the need for collaboration and shared commitment has never been greater. At Eku Energy, we believe long-term partnerships are central to building the scale and impact required to transform the global energy system and this was the guiding theme throughout the event.

We were honoured to open the Forum with remarks from the Deputy Australian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Elisabeth Bowes who spoke about the strong ties between Australia and the UK and the role of collaboration in driving clean energy opportunities across both regions.

Our CEO, Daniel Burrows, then took the stage to reflect on Eku Energy’s journey so far. In just three years, we have grown from an ambitious new entrant to a global developer, with a pipeline of projects spanning the UK, Australia, Japan, and Italy. Daniel shared insights into how battery energy storage systems (BESS) are enabling the shift to a renewable-powered future and highlighted the importance of scale, resilience, and partnership in delivering the next phase of growth.

The discussions that followed reinforced the importance of industry collaboration, whether through technology partnerships, financing, or community engagement. From grid stability to project delivery, the message was clear: only by working together can we meet the scale of the challenge and unlock the full potential of cost-effective clean energy.

Hosting this Forum was an opportunity to not only showcase Eku Energy’s progress but also to listen, learn, and build new connections. We look forward to continuing these conversations and deepening our partnerships as we work towards a net zero future.

At Eku Energy, partnerships aren’t just part of how we work. They are at the heart of everything we do.
