Erin is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)of Eku Energy. Erin leads a global team of finance and the investment professionals responsible for raising capital and disciplined deployment of capital, at appropriate risk adjusted returns, into battery energy storage systems (BESS) across Europe, Japan and Australia. Most recently, Erin’s team raised Eku’s first senior debt financing in the UK to construct a new 99 MW/198 MWh BESS located at Ocker Hill, in addition to an uncommitted accordion facility of £100m to support funding of Eku Energy’s near-term UK projects.
Erin has spent over 18 years in the infrastructure and energy sector across principal investments, financial advisory and asset management. She held various roles within Macquarie Group where she had the opportunity to lead acquisitions, divestments, equity and debt financings and create platforms in renewables including wind, solar, energy from waste and biogas, across Australia and the UK.
In addition to her experience in renewables, Erin was involved in investing in infrastructure businesses and developing projects during her time at John Laing. This included investments in telecommunication towers, healthcare businesses, social and transport projects in the UK and Europe. During her time at John Laing, Erin served as a director on the boards of Towercom Ireland and Valley Heathcare.
Erin holds a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Accounting and Finance from the University of New South Wales, Australia. Erin is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.
